Baxter's spirits were definitely up yesterday and then we even go to take the dogs over to the Grandma and Grandpa Graingers, where we got dinner and the dogs got highly spoiled. I know they both enjoyed themselves and as usual Baxter found himself the center of attention :)
This morning things were definitely a lot rougher. After the dogs usually go out in the morning they like to have their morning treats, Baxter especially! As Ben went to give them out, Baxter had no desire or interest in having any. If you know Baxter, you know that this is NOT the norm. To help his hunger and weight loss we have also been feeding him two meals twice a day, which Baxter has enjoyed. This morning as Ben went to give Baxter his food, he didn't want it right away. It took a lot of convincing to finally get him to eat. After that he had slight hesistation to get on the couch (another difference) and laid with Ben breathing quite heavily. I can honestly say it was tough trying to decide what exactly to do today. He laid there for a while but finally got up when he got some fresh water and then excitedly waited for treats. Not sure if he is just having a bad day or not but we will definitely be keeping a close eye on him. We will see how he does through the weekend. The last thing we want is for him to suffer. As of now he seems to have calmed down some and is just laying near momma's feet as we are writing this. We hope for only the best, we love that guy!
In other news, some work was started about a week ago on the baseboards. We are really hoping to finish them this weekend.....time will tell :)
