Happy New Year and Tongue-Tied, No More

It is so hard as a mom to trust your little one with someone else.  Regardless of what the situation or procedure is, there is always this piece of you that will simply worry about them, especially when they are out of your view.

Reed had his frenuloplasty earlier today.  While it really is a simple and very quick procedure having to take him to a same day surgery center, knowing he was going to get gas, and then be brought to another room where we couldn't go for a bit just sucked.  My heart goes out to those parents that have had to have worse procedures for their little ones.  I know we were worried about this and can only imagine if it was something else.  The procedure was beyond quick, by the time we got to the waiting room and Ben no sooner got a cup of coffee and sat down for me that the Dr was out telling us that he was done and everything went great.  We were allowed to the recovery room about 10 minutes later- when we walked back there Reed was being held by one of the staff and was laughing away.  They had told us that he had been in a great mood and was smiling at all of them- he made a lot of friends.  We were then on our way home a few minutes later after he had a chance to eat (he was allowed no food after midnight so he was a hungry boy).  Reed did awesome through everything and we are glad that this is done.

Camdyn is doing well too.  She amazes us more and more each day.  She is so smart and picks up on everything! She is really turning into such young lady- the time is just flying by so fast.

The holidays were great and I can't believe I am sitting here on New Years Eve as another year passes. We have been so blessed in so many ways.  I feel so grateful for everything and everyone.

We wish everyone a wonderful 2013 and hope that 2012 was as good to you all as it was to us.

Love,
Ben, Gabrielle, Camdyn, and Reed
